Across Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, bears are kept in small cages and “milked” for their bile. To say this is against their nature, or against any sense of decency, would be an understatement. Free the Bears is an Australian-owned and run charitable organisation which endeavours to free these bears so they don’t have to live lives of gruelling captivity. 10% of the profits from the sale of these thongs will go towards Free the Bears, meaning your lazy summer shoes do a lot more than just taking you to the beach! Our thongs are Fairtrade certified and are produced with a combination of natural and recycled rubber from Sri Lanka.
